What do you open your eyes to at 1:30 in the morning?....I bet its something like a dark quiet room right? Me not so much. This morning or last night however you want to say it I opened my eyes up to Lexi’s huge grin and eyes pressed up against my face…..For background she usually sleeps in her bed, but at 12:30 she decided it was time to “WAKE UP” so I tried to nurse her back to sleep but since I could tell that was going no where I brought her in to my room. So for about two hours she crawled around on my bed laughing and talking. I had to stay awake because I didn’t want her to fall off my bed (I recently got a new bed that is super high). So when I opened my eyes I had closed my eyes to tease her. It was so funny cuz I could totally tell she was like “Mommy I know you’re not sleeping” she kept pushing her face against mine until I laughed. It was like I was torn because I knew I had to get up in a couple of hours to go to work, but yet at the same time who could resist that kind of fun right? I just couldn’t be upset. I guess this is my way of writing it down so I will remember it later….I should point out that she did fall asleep around 2:30. I woke her briefly before I left at 6:00 and when I called my mom at 10:00 this morning guess who was still sleeping???? I totally mean it though when I say I wouldn’t change a thing…..I love her to pieces..... :) Sorry no pics only a story.....

Fun times, fun times that is what our (mine & Lex's) life has been filled with. I was just remembering a specific one just now.....A couple of weeks ago I'm heading to the yogurt shop with Lexi and I get a call from Heather asking if I can meet her at EG park before going to yogurt. Sure no problem I say. So I pull up (Lexi is of course fast asleep) & Heather has the hood of her car up. I'm gonna fast forward otherwise I would be here forever typing the details so on to the good part. Heather is on the phone (Bluetooth) having James explain how to put the jumper cables on the cars so we can jump her car. First time sparks fly, I scream jump 3 feet, Heather jumps almost loosing the cables, and Lexi still fast asleep. People at the park I'm sure were thinking "What dorks!" 2nd try same thing. Finally on the 3rd try Heather gets the first set on hers. I tried to do it, but I kept getting scared I would get shocked. Yeah yeah I know illogical since there was no current yet. Anyways....so as soon as Heather puts the second set on mine instead of sparks flames erupt. I literally started screaming and jumping. Heather was yelling and pulling the cable off (LOL I'm cracking up just remembering) Lexi still in dream world. Just to let you know the flames only lasted like 2 seconds so its not like she was in a burning car or anything. Next time (although I hope there isn't a next time) I'll make sure to get her out of the car before we start. Luckily a nice guy took pity on us and asked if we needed help. I was like "Yeah, we have no idea what were doing!" although I think he could see that for himself. So in less than a minute (not kidding) he had the cables on (minus the sparks) & Heather's car running. Gotta love those kind of individuals who take pity on those seriously lacking any mechanical skills (sorry Heather)....Lexi didn't wake up until we got to the yogurt shop. The things you miss out on when you're sleeping.
So the last weekend in July we went camping in Bodega Bay. I think Lexi enjoyed it. She absolutely loved waking up and crawling over to the campers window and seeing who she could find out there. It's amazing how much she likes to be outside. I think she is a natural camper. I got super lucky that she slept the whole way there and back.
Okay so I never got the chance to post her 6 month pictures cuz of my physics class so no time like the present right? Considering she just got her 8 month ones done.....Oh I'm throwing in some camping ones too. As always though I feel the need to warn you that some of the following expressions make cause extreme laughter.....

Someday the hair will come....until then
comb over days are here to stay

"Oh my gosh mom did you just
here the bad news?! No more milk,
oh the horror!!"

"OHHHMMMMMM"

"Alexandra Marie do I have to tell you again
to put your dress down?!"

"Hey come here I want to eat you too!"

"Yo yo mama"

"Mom can we go outside yet?"

"HaHa I sucessfully captured the chair
now it is all mine to eat HaHa!"

Me and my girls. In case your wondering
yes I did dress my daughter in a striped
onesie and farm pants. Im a horrible
mother, already teaching her
bad fashion. :)

Bodega Bay July 2009 minus Thomas who
stayed home to take care of the dogs.

As an after thought I thought maybe I should
post some pictures from my accident two weeks ago. If you didn't know about it
two weeks ago on my way to work a car cut me off hit my front and sent me spinning into the guardrail on the freeway. Of course they didn't stop. No worries though I'm okay, I have insurance, and most important Lex wasn't in the car. Someone must have been looking over me considering I was on the highway 50 in morning traffic going 60 mph and no one else hit me. The body shop said my car wont be totaled cuz its a Toyota and they hold their value well. So in the mean time I have a rental which just as a suggestion I would never buy a suzuki. Yuck!

They had to push down on the hood to get it to stay down

My poor bumper looked so sad laying on the side of the road.
The shop gave me an estimate of over $5000.00 in damages. Thankfully
because I have insurance all I have to pay is the deductible.
