Lilypie Second Birthday tickers

Ok so I thought it was just absolutely necessary that I explain what Lexi and I did last Saturday. As I write this I realize I should be studying, but I just had to write this up really quick. Ok so I had to visit the apple store in the mall last weekend and Heather and James were kind enough to go with me and Lexi. So off we go to the mall. When we arrive the apple store is packed so we have to wait. 40 mins later Heather takes baby on over to the Disney store to keep her occupied, I hear she loved it. We were hoping we'd be done by the time they got back (they were gone for like 20 mins), but we were still waiting. I could tell that Lex was only gonna last another 5 or 10 mins before well lets just say before....the meltdown. Totally understandable though considering how long it had been. So James now took baby and put her up on his shoulders(one of her favorite places to be she always starts smiling when she's up there) and off they went walking up and down in front of the apple store happy as a lark. Finally I find out I'm the next person in line to be helped. Heather goes and checks on the two and comes back saying "Your daughter is chewing on his hat!" LOL...it gets better. So just then they walk by and I say "Heather her eyes are closed!" "No their open I just saw them" We both look again and sure enough baby fell asleep right on top of his shoulders. LOL. I guess it was just so relaxing she had to take a little snooze. Oh and don't worry James always has his hands up there so she would never fall off. She stayed asleep up there the whole time I was being helped, still asleep when transfered to the car, while we stopped off at yogurt, and then woke up once we got home.

Just in case you didn't believe me here
is the proof.

So if you are ever at the mall and baby is getting bored and tired just call James and he'll give them a ride on his shoulders and it'll knock them right out. Thanks Heather and James for your help that day we both really appreciated it. :)

Okay so this post is gonna be a pictures post which is what everyone likes anyway. It might be awhile till I get to post some pictures because my summer course starts tomorrow so enjoy!! Oh by the way I should warn you some of these pics are pretty hilarious so I would hold on to your seat so you don't fall off when you're laughing :)

Hmmm can we say twins? :)

Lexi decided to take my car for a drive....

Of course she had to bring her best
bud with her....

Lexi got pulled over for being not being able to
reach the pedals so I had to come and
pick up the two of them and drive
them home. Silly girls.

Ummmm yummy whole grain cereal.
It is so good she had to use her hand to make sure
she got it all in there.

"I'm not sure I like this anymore mom.
Where's the milk?"

Ahhhhhh!!!!!! Give me back my
milk!!!!

Star spangled banner day going to the grocery
store.

Can you tell what aisle the milk is on?

LOL I just can't come up with something
its to funny.

Dear
Lexi,

I can't believe that today you are 6 months old. You have grown so much in these past 6 months both mentally and physically. Gone now are the days of your colickiness that would hit at any random time. Not to say you don't fuss its just different. Gone also are your newborn features. I remember when you were born I couldn't imagine you looking any other way then how you were then. You have so many expressions and I enjoy them all.
I know it may sound impossible, but I love you more and more everyday. I love your smile and how it warms my heart, I love your laugh and how it makes me laugh, I love your cry because it lets me know you still need me, and I love your frown because well just because I do. I hate being away from you, but just know that every minute I'm away I am thinking about you and that I do it all to provide you with the best life I possibly can. I hope one day you can look at me and feel as proud to have me as your mom as I am to have my mom. Lexi you have so many people who love and care for you. You truly will never be alone.
Everything happens for a reason and I am so glad that I was meant to be your mom because you make me a better person and I can't thank you enough for that. I have loved and enjoyed (the colickiness definitely on the less side) every stage of your life and can't wait to see you grow and discover all kinds of new things. For right now though I'm just going to enjoy this baby stage while it is here. I just can't say it enough I love you little Lexi Lu!!!!

Love Always and Forever,
Mama :P

I told you to strike a pose and
you decided on the "big eyes" look

You begged me to let you wear your
dress on your head and being
the nice mama I am I let
you have your way. LOL

P.S. Today is also your grandma and grandpa's 35th wedding anniversay. Pretty cool huh? Congrats to them and 35 more years!! :)

Why do cribs have bumpers?

We'll I think Lexi and I have figured out a few of the reasons. I personally used to think they were all just for show. Of course this was when Lex was
in the blob stage (ya know leave them anywhere and when you return their in the exact same position. Not to say that I would just leave Lexi hanging around at a bus stop by herself. Of course being a good mother I would leave Toots with her.....Okay sorry getting off topic...) Okay on to the reasons....

#1 For when baby has woken up and somehow placed their neck and head at such an odd angle that their head is smashed up against the bumper.

#2 To provide baby with a good sucking session

#3 To entertain baby with its bright color. (Yellow is a big favorite of Lexi's)

#4 For when baby starts to sit up, but has had a little something extra in their milk so their feeling a little tipsy.

#5 For when they become little rollie pollie's and need a barrier to stop them.

#6 Lastly to keep their feet from getting stuck between the slats when they start going kick crazy.

I literally caught her mid roll :)

Okay so I know it's been awhile, but since I am finally done with my computer class (thanks largely to James for getting me through it, literally) I now have some spare time. Although starting June 8th and until July 31st I'm gonna be busy again. It's sad, but true that I am taking a yucky, yucky physics course this summer. I know, I know, why you ask would I ever have a desire to take such a course? Well all I can say is I do it for my daughter and her future. Okay enough about me on to the real important stuff LEXI!!! Okay so just today Lexi went in the pool for the first time!! I really think she is going to take after me and love the water. She did a couple of accidental face dives and it didn't even faze her. It amazes everyday how much she has grown and changed over these months. Enjoy!! :)

To avoid any confusion that she is a girl we put a flower
on her head. Sadly enough I have already gotten
the "Ohhh HE'S so cute!"

Who's she looking at????

I just want to eat those rolls!! Just
to be clear I was talking about Lexi's
not mine. :)

"Did you just say all the milk is GONE??!!"

"I don't taste the grape at all mommy"

"Mom are you gonna come in the pool too?"
"No hunny mommy isn't ready to wear a swimsuit yet"
"That's okay mommy neither am I"

I just wanted to write a quick note saying two things. Okay well maybe it will end up being a little more than two things, but really I just wanted to tell my mom how much I love and appreciate her and how lucky I feel to not only have her as my mom, but also as a best friend. You have taught me so much, especially this past year. I truly couldn't have done any of it without you. Thanks for always being there for me. I hope I can be half as good of a mom as you are. So mom please don't be mad at me, but I gotta do it. You are not just a great mom to me, but to all four of your kids....

Mom & Juel's on one of their adventures :)

2008 summer girl trip!!

Dang they look so much alike...

Can't wait to do our run again this year mom :)

Okay so second I also wanted to say that I just love being Alexandra's mom. It is just as simple as that so I will leave it at that....
Mommy sure loves you Lexi lu!! :)

Random order of pics for the last couple of weeks....

once she found her fingers she felt better

Aunt Heather and Uncle James. Don't worry
I made her take sunscreen

My new Tilly hat from the Easter bunny.
By the way I puked all over this outfit
2 minutes after this picture was taken

Going to visit great grandma curry's for Easter.
Is it just me or did my mother put a hat on me that
makes me look like a pioneer??

I just know I can put that in my mouth if
I stare at it hard enough...

Ahhhhh!!! The Claw!!!!!

Bath time!!! Still in the sink of course because
due to my deathly fear of the tub.

Ok last one, but I saved the best for last....

Thanks to my Uncle Ratzi for all my wonderful
photos. Doesn't she look a tad sneaky here?

Ok I lied one more

"professional" photographer. James did
much better :)All I can say is I just love her so much!!!

She is so awesome and I know Lexi will have great times with her! Ok enough sad talk how about some pictures? Well that means I have to go download from my camera dang it. So I'll just post this one I have from my phone for now and then I will add on more from my camera. I should really being doing some homework....

Lexi doing some talking....
So what's been going on??

Hanging out watching deadliest catch with grampy.
"Move mom you're blocking my view!"

Taking a bath in the kitchen sink because I have a sudden
deathly fear of the upstairs tub. Not the water just the tub.
"How do I get this into my mouth?"

Playing in my new Earthy jumperoo!
"Boy my fingers taste good!"

Hanging out with the girls. I guess Lexi wasn't
enjoying it as much as the rest of us.

Going to a bridal shower. Looking super
cute in this outfit I got from my cousin Jenny.
Thanks Jen!

"Oh hello there do you like my flower? My
grampy calls me a sissy when I where one, but
he just wishes he had one too!"

Just looking darn cute.
"Please mommy can I have some more milk?"

Getting ready for my Easter pictures
"Has anyone seen my sheep?

As you can see we have been very busy. I am just enjoying every minute that I have with her. Lexi had her 4 month shots this last Monday and didn't seem to have any reactions to them other than crying. Again though she cried through the whole appointment when she wasn't nursing and then when it came time for the shots she was quiet as can be. She only cried when they poked her and then nothing. At the appointment her weight was 11 lbs 14 oz and 23inches. Since her weight hasn't increased that much her doctor is having her come back in a month for a weight check. She said not to worry though because she thinks that Lexi is just a small baby. Lexi's colic and reflux have gotten a little better, so fingers crossed it stays that way. This is my last full time week with her and I am cherishing every minute I have with her. Luckily my boss is letting me go back part time the first month (only 20 hours). I hope I am saying this in the right way, but to all those who can stay home you just don't realize how lucky you are. I don't say that as in oh boo hoo for me just I love being a mom and hopefully someday I can be a stay at home one. I just love my little fuss bucket! :)

What we were doing last week...

Chilling before going to Goore's and the grocery store.
Goore's is our best friend lately.

First time riding in Grandma and Grandpa's truck!

Visiting our Aunt Carel for lunch. It took us awhile
to get there cuz Lexi would just puke on every outfit
she didn't want to wear (this was outfit #4). Once we got
there Lexi ate most of the time.
Suprise, suprise. :)

Lexi wearing and almost eating her new Easter
hat. Thanks grandma!
I'm gonna have to remind Lexi it's bad
fashion sense to keep the tags on!

Hanging out on the boppy

Passing the time reading a good book.

My other love Toots! She absolutely loves Lexi
and I can't wait until they can play together. Lexi
already watches her zoom across the room.

Naked baby!! This was taken right before she rolled
onto her stomach for the first time on Saturday!!

We had a busy week. On Friday I dropped Lexi off with her GrandmaHolt while I headed over to Kohl's. After I returned home I realized I had somehow lost my license. After calling Kohl's a dozen times and searching my car a thousand times I now have come to terms with the fact that it is lost forever. Oh well. Well I better go get some chores done before Lexi wakes up. Oh I just wanted to note that although Lexi is not crying or unhappy in any of these photos she is what we lovingly call her a fuss bucket, but we all still love her to death! How could we not she is so much fun!
